For the fourth year in a row, the Bay Area Discovery
Museum is teaming up with World Arts West to
present World On Stage. This ethnic performance
series takes you around the world through dance,
music and folklore, featuring some of the Bay Area’s
most talented youth and adult artists.


Ballet Lisanga

The rich African tradition of storytelling is at the
heart of Ballet Lisanga’s performance. Daily life
and culture are interpreted through spirited
Congolese and West African dance and music.

Raices de Mi Tierra

Come celebrate the diverse cultures found
throughout Mexico.  Raices de Mi Tierra presents
traditional folkloric dance and music performed
by talented dancers wearing a beautiful array

Hui Tama Nui

This critically acclaimed ensemble, whose namecomes from a Persian word meaning “legend”or “fairytale,” is inspired by the rich culture of the historic Silk Road. Clad in richly decorated costumes, Ballet Afsaneh presents the traditional music and dance of Afghanistan and Iran.
