Monday, February 1, 2010

Press Coverage:

Over 560 Museum donors, friends, educators and community partners gathered at the Ritz-Carlton, on February 1, for the Museum’s annual Discovery Forum. This year’s Forum featured a conversation between renowned technology pioneer Steve Wozniak and journalist Dana King. This thought-provoking dialogue incorporated the importance of hands-on learning and encouraging creativity, and focused on how the Bay Area Discovery Museum is a critical resource for preparing children for the challenges of the 21st century.

The Museum raised over $215,000 which will support educational programs and exhibitions. Many thanks to event chairs: Trustees Lily Beischer and Kay Yun, and Council members Kerry Headington and Michelle Patterson.
