In honor and celebration of Asian Pacific Islander Month, the Bay Area Discovery Museum is proud to co-sponsor the Asian Pacific Heritage Festival. Come learn about and experience the different traditions of Asian and Pacific Islander communities of the Bay Area through performances, food and the arts.

Get your feet stomping and heartbeat going with the Marin Chinese Cultural Association Lion Dance Team and continue this musical performance medley with other Asian and Pacific Islander Groups. After you work up an appetite dancing with the performers, sample delicious foods from Asia, plus hot dogs, pizza and turkey sandwiches. Food plates will be available for purchase from community food booths. There are also on-going family activities in the Art Studios.

2 p.m. Ensohza Minyoshu – Traditional Japanese Folk Music and Dance    
3 p.m. Sonoma County Taiko – Japanese Drumming
