Exploring Together Collection

3-week sessions of exploration

This season’s collection of our Exploring Together Collection includes Get Ready to Get Messy and Outdoor Learning for toddlers and their caregivers. The Exploring Together classes are developed and taught by our Public Programs Team, specially designed for small groups of about 10 children. These active classes highlight our open-ended child-directed educational philosophy, offers adults a chance to meet other caregivers. You can learn fun activities to try at home, and be exposed to new facilitation techniques to promote creativity.

These classes are very important in the development of young children as it gives them an opportunity to engage in art and science activities without anyone worrying about making a mess. The skills children learn are cumulative; for example, allowing 2-year-olds to use as much glue as they want leads to better self-control when they are older. Our curriculum is based on activities that focus on the process and allow children to connect ideas and build their own structure through experimentation and repetition.
