Frank Klein and Chad Newton, the critically acclaimed restaurateur and chef behind SF's Fish & Farm restaurant and the Muir Woods Café, invite you to explore the all-new Café Discovery, featuring the best local, sustainable, organic sandwiches, salads, soups and burgers for kids & grown-ups, plus delicious pastries from the acclaimed organic Rustic Bakery.

Friday - Sunday: 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

About Café Discovery
The café sources all local foods, primarily from organic and sustainable purveyors. “It’s important we only offer food that we can account for. Knowing your food is from local sources, was raised or made responsibly, and is healthy and tasty is important in everything we do,” said Newton.
Keeping prices affordable is their goal as well. The café will offer a broad array of items in various portions and prices. All sandwiches can be ordered “small” or “large” on fresh baked whole wheat breads or rolls.
Klein and Newton will also have a few items geared specifically to adults like Newton’s Farmer’s Market Salad with baby root vegetables, local micro greens, Sonoma goat cheese, and a McEvoy Olive Oil Vinaigrette as well as an artisan salami, cheese, grapes, and olives salad.
Snacks have a healthy bend as well. No high fructose corn syrup, processed sugars, white flour, excessive sodium or trans fat will be tolerated. Café Discovery will take pride in offering great tasting healthy snacks that kids like to eat.
Vegan soups will be offered as well as homemade hummus and other handcrafted items like Newton’s own almond butter and mixed berry jam which will undoubtedly become a perennial favorite for the kids. Café Discovery plans to make many of their own products with ingredients sourced from local farmers.

Frank is a well‐known restaurateur and restaurant consultant in the Bay Area. His high profile ventures and clients have been entertaining the Bay Area for nearly two decades. Recently Frank oversaw the redesign and development of the award winning foodservice at Muir Woods National Monument. The focus there was on local and organic foods with healthy choices. The Muir Woods café received the Marin Conservation League’s Sustainable Business Leader award for 2009--‐2010. Klein intends to bring this sensibility to Café Discovery. By partnering with local farmers and food purveyors, Café Discovery will be able to provide a unique experience for kids and families alike.

Chad Newton is a highly recognized and critically acclaimed Chef who was most recently at San Francisco’s Fish & Farm restaurant. At Fish & Farm Chad was awarded “Best Burger in SF” by 7 X 7 Magazine. Chad is committed to offering local and sustainable foods at Café Discovery. Chad has worked at some of the Bay Area’s finest restaurants including Redd in Napa Valley and Postrio in Union Square. Chad is actively involved in donating his time to local causes and works frequently in support of Cuesa.
