Living in Space

June – September 2010 Become an International Space Station (ISS) crewmember for a day and engage in a multitude of astronaut activities in this exhibit. Go out-of-this-world in a hands-on traveling exhibit that features planning a day in space, performing activities such as mealtime or choosing free-time activities. Visitors will immerse themselves in this unique space environment as they learn about a day in the life of an ISS crewmember.

Animal Secrets

October 31, 2009 – May 9, 2010 Where does a chipmunk sleep? What does an eagle feed its young? How do mother bats find their babies in a cave? In , families will learn the answers to these questions and more as they explore the hidden habitats and secret lives of forest animals. Using imaginative role-play and hands-on activities, children will discover nature from an animal’s point of view in naturalistic environments, including a stream, woodland, meadow, cave and naturalists tent.
